Is Your Bank or Credit Union 3 Steps Away from Greater Efficiency?

Growth-minded community banks and credit unions are often focused on one thing: efficiency. That’s probably why such a large percentage of bankers that we surveyed rely on document imaging technology. Digital documents are easier to manage, track, and share with customers. Compared to paper, they’re also much less likely to get lost or accidentally destroyed. For banks and credit unions looking to maximize efficiency, however, basic digitization doesn’t go far enough. In an era when banks and credit unions rely on a growing number of banking apps—LOS, eSign, CRM, and doc prep systems to name just a few—the need for integration is real. Here at Alogent, we’ve designed our tracking and exception document management system to play nice with many (or all) of the banking apps in your tech stack. In this article, we’ll share how our three-step interface process could deliver a significant efficiency boost.

3 Steps to Increased Efficiency

Document and account management is one of our primary focuses, which means we can dedicate resources to building software that makes you more productive. Our independent status gives us the freedom to deliver interfaces with any number of bank technology products, including 30+ cores and numerous other banking systems. In fact, we’ve successfully connected AccuAccount to so many banking apps that we’ve developed a proven three-step interface process: Infographic that shows AccuSystems' three steps for interfaces Here’s a quick overview of each step:

1. Source File Creation

Stop and think about the different software apps that your bank or credit union utilizes to create new documents. At a minimum, you probably use a doc prep system in tandem with an eSign product to streamline the collection of customer documents. By its nature, this approach dramatically reduces unnecessary administrative work and increases efficiency. Connecting AccuAccount extends this efficiency by reducing the need to manually move (or print and re-scan!) eSigned documents into your repository.

2. Document Image Mapping

Most source systems provide a data file (usually an XML file) that we can use to map documents into the correct spot in AccuAccount. This sounds complicated, but, in reality, we make it easy for our customers. If you decide to move forward with an AccuAccount interface, we’ll work to build a document mapping plan that meets your unique needs. Once configured, document mapping happens automatically behind the scenes—without having to think about it.

3. Nightly Document Import

Each night, our interfaces will import new documents from your source systems. (Need something closer to real time? We can help with that, too!) AccuAccount checks for new documents while you’re sleeping and assigns them to the correct customer or account. We also provide audit log reports so you can occasionally check in to ensure everything works as intended.

4 Reasons to Consider an AccuAccount Interface

We’ve talked about how AccuAccount can interface to almost any banking application. But, is an interface right for your financial institution? Here are four reasons why we’re seeing an uptick in demand for interfaces:

  1. Efficiency: Your team will spend less time manually indexing and QC’ing documents. An AccuAccount interface handles much of the work for you.
  2. Accuracy: People make mistakes, especially when they spend large parts of their day performing the same repetitive tasks. A well-configured interface reduces the chance that documents will end up in the wrong place.
  3. Ease of Implementation: We do the heavy lifting for you. We’ll set up a test site, review your source system documentation, and manage the entire project. That’s especially good news for smaller banks and credit unions with limited IT resources.
  4. ROI: Yes, there is a cost to build, test, and deploy an AccuAccount interface. But, in most cases, the ROI is well worth the cost. Need proof? Feel free to ask us for a list of references!
